Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

This policy says what personal information nelo collects, where we get it, why, who helps us handle it, and how to get it changed or deleted. nelo works with businesses, so most of what we handle is business contact details. If anything is unclear, email contact@nelohq.com and we'll explain it.

1. Who we are

nelo is a service of q2o, Inc., 2035 Sunset Lake Road, Suite B-2, Newark, DE 19702, USA. We decide how the information in this policy is used (we are the "controller"). Our privacy contact is contact@nelohq.com.

2. When we write to you first

We may make a preview for a business and email it before the business asks. To do that:

  • We find an email address the business shows in public: on its website, its Google profile or its Facebook page. We don't buy lists, and we don't look for personal email addresses.
  • We keep a short record: the business name, the email address, where we found it, the first name we wrote to (if the business shows one), what we sent, when, and the answer (for example "asked", "no answer" or "stop").
  • We send one email, at most one follow-up, and a last note. Then we stop, unless you ask for more.
  • To stop, reply "stop". We add you to our stop list the same day. We keep the stop list (the email address and business name only) so we never write again.

3. When you ask on our site

The form on nelohq.com asks for:

  • where to find your business: your website, your Facebook page, or your business name and town;
  • your email address;
  • and, only if you add them, your name and a note.

The contact form asks for your email address, your message and, if you add it, your business.

When you send a form, it goes through our email service (Resend) to our inbox. We don't keep a separate database: our inbox is the list. When you ask for a preview, we email you to confirm we got it, from hello@nelohq.com, and send your preview, usually within a day. After that, we send a new preview when a moment fits your business, until you reply "stop". A hidden field on each form catches robots; it holds nothing about you.

Your preview page. It knows which business it was made for. When you tap "Send me the next one", it sends us one email with your business name, so we know you asked. Nothing else is stored.

4. What we look at about your business

To make previews, we look at what your business already shows in public:

  • your website;
  • your Google Business Profile and Facebook page;
  • your public reviews and their star ratings;
  • your public photos, logo, colors, phone number and service area;
  • ads you already run, which Meta shows to anyone in its public Ad Library.

We also look up public NOAA and National Weather Service weather reports near your service area. These are about weather, not people.

We use this only to make your previews and to email you about them. We show a preview only to you. If a public review appears in a preview, we show the reviewer's first name and last initial only, never their photo. We may use AI tools to help sort these details and draft ad words (Section 7).

5. When you buy

Payment. You pay through Stripe Checkout. Stripe collects your card and billing details. We see your name, email, phone number, billing address, what you bought and the last 4 digits of your card. We never see or store your full card number. We use your phone number only to reach you about your order.

Delivery. Right after you pay, your files open on a page made for you, and we email you its link. We also send you how to set the ad up, and later how to read how it does.

Your material. If you send us photos, your logo, your license number, reviews or notes, we use them to make your ads. For the personal information in them, we act for you (see the Data Processing Addendum).

6. Why we use it

What Why
Your business's public email and the record of what we sent To send you a preview, and to stop when you say stop
Your request and email To make your previews and send them to you
Public details about your business To make your previews and your ads
Your payment details and phone number To charge you, send receipts, reach you about your order and handle refunds
Your material To make and deliver your ads
Emails you send us To answer you
Basic logs (see Section 8) To keep the site working and safe

We don't sell personal information. We don't share it for advertising that follows people across other sites. We don't use it to train AI models.

7. Who helps us

These companies handle information for us, only to provide their service to us, under contracts that require them to protect it:

Company What for Where
Vercel Hosts nelohq.com, our forms and private preview pages USA and global network
Cloudflare (R2) Stores the preview videos and the files you buy USA and global network
Resend Sends our emails: your form to our inbox, your confirmation, your previews, your files USA
Google (Google Workspace) Our email inbox and our working files USA
Stripe Payments and receipts USA
Anthropic AI that helps us sort public details about a business and draft ad words USA
GitHub Stores our site's code, which lists each preview page (business name, town and the words in its ads) USA

The same list is at Sub-processors. We'll also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or if nelo is sold or reorganized (we'd tell you first).

8. Cookies and logs

nelohq.com sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and runs no analytics or ad tracking. See the Cookie Policy. Like any website, our host keeps basic server logs (IP address, browser type, the page asked for) for a short time to keep the site running and safe.

9. How long we keep it

  • Preview pages: they close 14 days after we make them.
  • Previews you didn't buy: deleted within 90 days of when we made them.
  • The record of what we sent a business: up to 2 years after our last email.
  • The stop list: for as long as we send emails, so we never write to you again.
  • Requests and emails: up to 2 years, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Your files and material, after you buy: up to 12 months after your last order, so your download page keeps working and a reorder is quick. Ask, and we delete them sooner.
  • Payment records: 7 years, because tax law requires it.
  • Server logs: up to 30 days.

10. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what we have about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct it;
  • delete it;
  • stop emailing you.

Email contact@nelohq.com. We answer within 30 days, sometimes sooner. We may ask you to confirm who you are. You can ask someone to make a request for you; we'll check they're allowed. We won't treat you differently for using your rights.

California and other US states with privacy laws. Some of these laws may not apply to us, or to business contact details. We give you these rights anyway:

  • What we collect: identifiers (name, email address, phone number), business details, what you bought, what's in reviews and photos, and basic server logs. We collect no sensitive personal information.
  • Where it comes from: you, your business's public pages, Meta's public Ad Library, and Stripe.
  • Why, who gets it, and for how long: Sections 6, 7 and 9.
  • Your rights: to know, delete, correct and take a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising. We don't sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of. We honor Global Privacy Control signals.

Outside the US: we serve US businesses. If you're in another country, you can still use the rights above, and any others your law gives you.

11. Reviewers and people in photos

If your words or your photo appear in an ad we made for a business, you can ask us to remove them. Email contact@nelohq.com and tell us which business. We'll remove them from future ads and ask the business to take down the ones already running.

12. Security

Everything moves over encrypted connections. Preview pages have hard-to-guess links and aren't listed anywhere. The files you buy open only after Stripe confirms your payment. Only the people who make your ads can see your material. Our providers keep their own strong controls. No system is perfect; if a breach affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.

13. Children

nelo is for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

14. Changes

We post updates here. For a big change, we email buyers before it applies.
