Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 October 2026
These terms are the deal between your business and nelo. They cover free previews, buying an ad for $49, and everything we send you. When you ask for a preview, tap "Send me the next one", pay, or use what we make, you agree to them. If you agree for a business, you confirm you're allowed to.
1. Who we are
nelo is a service of q2o, Inc., a Delaware corporation, 2035 Sunset Lake Road, Suite B-2, Newark, DE 19702, USA. "We" and "us" mean nelo. "You" means the business we make a preview for, or that asks for one, or buys from us. Notices to us go to contact@nelohq.com. Notices to you go to the email address you gave us, or the one we wrote to.
2. What we do
We make video ads for local businesses from what's real: your reviews, your work, your photos, logo, colors, name and phone number. We often start from the ad you run now. A person checks every ad. You get it ready to run, with a short note on how to set it up.
- We don't run your ads. You run them on your own ad account, and you decide how much to spend.
- We never touch your ad account or the money you spend on ads. We never ask for your ad account login or its payment details. We only charge your card for our own price, through Stripe, when you buy.
- We don't post on your page for you. Everything comes ready for you to run or post.
nelo is for businesses only. You must be at least 18 and buying for a business, not for personal or household use.
3. Free previews
How you get one. We may make a preview for your business and email it to you before you ask, from what your business shows in public (see the Privacy Policy). Or you ask for one on nelohq.com, and we send it, usually within a day. It's free, and you don't need a card.
The next one. If you ask for more (you tap "Send me the next one", reply "yes", ask on our site, or buy), we send you a new free preview when a moment fits your business (Section 9). We find moments by hand. We choose which ones, and we don't promise how many or how soon. If you never answer our first emails, we stop after our last note.
- Each preview is on a private page made for you. It isn't listed anywhere. It closes 14 days after we made it.
- Each preview carries a nelo mark.
- A preview stays ours until you pay for it. You may watch it and share it inside your business. You may not run it, post it, download it, or remove or cover the mark.
- Stop any time. Reply "stop" to any email from us, or write to contact@nelohq.com. We stop writing, usually the same day.
- We delete each preview you don't buy within 90 days of making it. Ask, and we delete it sooner.
- Don't want a preview we made for you? Reply or write to contact@nelohq.com and we delete it.
- Free previews can change or end at any time.
4. What you can buy
Your ad: $49, one time. The clean files for the ad on your preview page, without the mark. When the page shows two versions of the ad (a classic one and a new style), $49 buys both. You get them in feed and story sizes, with a short note on how to set them up. Buy right from your preview page.
More than that (several ads, a different idea, help getting them running): ask at nelohq.com/contact. We agree on the price by email before we start.
We don't sell subscriptions now. Nothing renews, and nothing is charged again unless you buy again.
Prices are in US dollars. If sales tax applies, Stripe shows it before you pay. You pay through Stripe. We never see your full card number.
5. Delivery, fixes and refunds
- Delivery. Right after you pay, the clean files open on a page made for you, and we email you its link. The link works for at least 12 months. Download the files to keep them.
- Refunds. If you can't get your files and we can't fix that within 1 business day of your payment, you get a full refund. Once you have them, there is no refund.
- Fixes. We fix our mistakes for free (a wrong phone number, a typo, a wrong color or logo). Ask within 30 days of buying.
- Changes before you buy. Want a different photo or review first? Reply to our email. We make reasonable changes. We may say no to a change that would make an ad untrue or break Section 9 or Section 12.
- We may also refund at our own choice at other times.
6. Who owns what
- Before you pay, a preview is ours (Section 3).
- After you pay, you may use, copy, run, trim and share the files you bought, for your business, in any ad or post, anywhere, for as long as you like. You don't owe us anything more, and this doesn't end when you stop buying from us. We don't sell your ad to anyone else.
- Music and fonts in your ads are licensed for use in the ads we make for you. You may not take them out and use them on their own or in other work.
- Our tools, looks, layouts and methods stay ours. Buying an ad doesn't give you rights to copy our looks to make other ads.
- Your material stays yours. Your photos, logo, name and reviews still belong to you (or to whoever gave you the right to use them).
- If someone says our part breaks their rights (the music, fonts or graphics we added), we replace it for free, or refund you if we can't.
7. Your photos, logo and reviews
What you let us use. You let us use your photos, logo, colors, business name, phone number, license number, reviews and anything else you send us or show in public, to make your previews and ads and to deliver them to you. This permission ends when you ask, except for ads already delivered. We don't use your material to train AI models, and we don't give it to other businesses.
What you promise. Before you buy, you see everything in the ad. When you buy, or send us material, you confirm that:
- you own the photos, logo and other material in it, or you have the right to use them in ads;
- everyone who can be recognized in the photos agreed to be in your ads (for photos of a customer's house, the owner agreed);
- nothing in it is false.
If something in a preview isn't yours to use, tell us before you buy, and we swap it.
Reviews. Reviews in ads must follow the FTC's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465) and its Endorsement Guides. So:
- Every review we use is real, from a real customer, about your business. We copy it from your public reviews or take it from you.
- We may shorten a review, but we never change what it means.
- Star ratings and review counts are the real ones on the day we made the ad.
- We show the reviewer's first name and last initial only, and the date when we have it. We never show a reviewer's photo.
- When you buy an ad after seeing its reviews in the preview, that counts as your approval of them.
- Tell us if a review we picked came from your staff, your family, or someone you paid or rewarded. We take it out, or the ad must say so.
- If a reviewer asks you to stop using their words, tell us. We remove the review from future ads, and you take down the ads that use it.
- Never send us a fake review.
8. Your preview's material from public sources
To make a preview, we look at what your business shows in public: your website, your Google and Facebook pages, your public reviews and photos, and the ads you run, which Meta shows to anyone in its public Ad Library. We use them only to make ads for you. We show the preview only to you. We never claim to be you, and we never contact your customers.
9. Moments: seasons, holidays and weather
A moment is a time when people may need your trade: the seasons in your trade (like the first cold week for heating), a holiday, the weather near you, or a new review.
For weather, we use public reports from NOAA and the National Weather Service. When an ad names a storm, a freeze or a heat wave, it names the real date and place from those reports. Weather data can be late or wrong. We don't promise that any number of moments will happen.
What weather ads never say. They never claim that a particular home or street is damaged. They never offer a free inspection, or to pay, waive or "cover" an insurance deductible (illegal in many states). They never pretend to come from an insurer, NOAA or the government. They never promise that insurance will pay. Please don't change your ads to say these things. Some states have extra rules for contractors after a storm; follow the rules where you work.
Take an ad down when it stops being true. An ad about a storm or a freeze fits while people still feel it. You decide how long to run it.
10. You approve and run every ad
- Look at every ad before you use it. You check that the facts, prices and offers are right and that you can deliver what the ad says.
- You are the advertiser. You choose to run each ad, where, and for how long. You follow the rules of the ad platforms you use (Meta, Google and others), including any special ad category a platform asks you to choose, and the laws for your trade, including state rules on showing your contractor license number in ads. Give us your license number and tell us your state's rule, and we'll put it on.
- We write ads to be true and to fit common platform rules, but we don't promise any ad will be approved by a platform.
11. Emails we send
- Before you ask. We may email your business at an address it shows in public, with a preview we made for it: one email, at most one follow-up, and a last note. Then we stop, unless you ask for more.
- When you ask. Your preview, and new previews when a moment fits, until you say stop (Section 3).
- When you buy. Your receipt, your files, how to set them up, and how to read how they do.
Every email except a receipt or a delivery email says how to stop: reply "stop". We stop within 10 business days, usually the same day. We don't share or sell your email address.
12. Things you may not do
Don't use our work to mislead people. That includes fake reviews, made-up customers, false prices or offers, jobs you didn't do, or claims you can't back up. Don't use it to break the law or anyone's rights. Don't resell our work as your own service to other businesses. Don't copy our site or tools. We can stop working with you if you do any of these.
13. Showing your work as an example
We show your ads to others (on our site, in emails, in sales) only with your written yes. An email saying yes is enough. You can take it back any time by email. We then stop using your ads in anything new. Things already printed or sent can't be pulled back.
14. Our intellectual property
The nelo name, logo, site, tools, looks and methods are ours or our licensors'. These terms give you no rights in them except what Section 6 says.
15. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we can use them without owing you anything.
16. No guarantee of results
We work hard to make good ads. But we provide our work "as is". As far as the law allows, we make no promises, stated or implied, including that our work fits a particular purpose. We don't guarantee calls, leads, jobs, sales, lower costs, or that any platform approves any ad. Results depend on many things we don't control: your market, your budget, how you set up your ads, the platform and the weather.
17. Limit on our liability
As far as the law allows, neither nelo nor q2o, Inc. is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or US$100 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as for fraud.
18. Your responsibility to us
You will defend us and pay our reasonable costs if someone makes a claim against us because of material you sent us or confirmed you could use (Section 7), an ad you chose to run or change, or your breaking these terms. Examples: a photographer says you didn't have rights to a photo; a customer says you used their words without permission; a state says your ad broke its contractor rules.
19. Ending things
You can stop any time: reply "stop" to any email, or just don't buy. We can stop working with you if you break these terms or don't pay, or if the law requires it. If we ever stop offering nelo, we give buyers at least 30 days' notice by email, so you can download your files. Sections 6, 7 (your promises), 14 to 18 and 21 stay in force after things end.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a big change, we email buyers at least 14 days before it applies. Changes never apply to a payment you already made.
21. Law and disputes
Delaware law governs these terms, without its conflict-of-law rules. Before either of us starts a formal claim, we both agree to try to sort it out by email for 30 days. Write to contact@nelohq.com. After that, disputes go to the state or federal courts in Delaware. Either of us may instead bring a claim in small claims court where you do business, if it qualifies.
22. Everything else
These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Addendum are the whole agreement between us. If a part can't be enforced, the rest still stands. You can't transfer these terms without our written yes. We may transfer them if nelo is sold or reorganized. Neither of us is liable for delays caused by things outside our reasonable control, like outages or severe weather.
